Would You Swim In That Water?
While on my Great Indian Train Trip, we stopped off in a small town in Southern India called Rameswaram. I visited the big temple there and spent about two hours walking around it taking photographs. I seen an elephant getting a bath (yes inside the temple), to homeless people sleeping, to vendors selling trinkets and even people swimming.
One thing I can say about India is that religion isn’t something you do just on Sundays. That it is everywhere, all the time and is much different then what I was raised to believe religion was. I can only imagine what my father would have done if he caught me and my cousin taking a swim in the church baptism tub but in India it’s no big deal.
