He only smiled and never asked for money
While walking around the ruins in Hampi, India I cam across this man and a little boy sitting in the shade. It was late afternoon by this time, I had already sweated out 8 liters of water and was dead tired but I had made it a mission to visit as many ruins as I could and this was the last one.
I seen them sitting there and wanted to ask for a photo but for some reason I got this shyness all of a sudden. Might have been because I was tired but I just couldn’t bring myself to ask them for a photo. Then the little boy came up to me and wanted to see a photo I had just taken. I showed him a few shots and he started to get excited and wanted me to take his photograph. The old man next to him just kept smiling and when I asked him if I could have a photo of them both together he just bobbled his head back and forth and kept grinning. I took a few shots of them together then asked if I could have one of just him. The above photo was one of the best people shots I got while in Hampi.
Sometimes looking scared does the trick I guess!
