Rings in the sky, anyone know why?
When visiting Mysore, India I wanted to see the famous hotel there, called the Lalitha Mahal Hotel Palace. It’s kind of like the Raffles Hotel in Singapore but not nearly as famous. So I grabbed a local rickshaw and head out with my camera in tow. I got there early afternoon and when I exited the hotel after walking around I seen this BIG halo around the sun. I have no clue how or why it was there (maybe an eclipse or something) but I was determined to photograph.
Something should be noted that when trying to photographing the sun directly it isn’t easy and can actually be harmful to your camera sensor… but I didn’t care as I wanted the photo damn it! To make any sense of the suns affect I had to includ something in the photo, which is why you see the hotel in the bottom corner.
