One persons trash is another persons livelihood… in India at least!
While searching for Cesar Baba (the funny story is here) in Hampi, India I came across these two ladies. They were walking along the road that we were lost on, carrying each two large loads of trash on their heads. Mostly plastic bottles and cardboard, although might not have been as heavy as it looked it was still twice the size of each women. Balancing the loads on their heads they walked quickly past us without saying a word. It was a good mile away from the town where they must have gotten the trash from and I can only assume it would be another mile until they made it back home, as I didn’t see anything on that road for the next 15 minutes while walking.
These Hampi women are tough, especially for there size… all 90lbs of them!
