“Matt Brandon has been shooting pictures since he was 10 years old with his father’s Cannonet QL rangefinder. 40 years later, he now collaborates with NGOs to tell their stories and to train their field staff to do the same. Well known as a photographer and international workshop instructor, Matts images have been used by clients such as Partner Aid International, NeighborWorks, the BBC, Honda Motor Corporation, and
Bombadier Transport Corporation and others. His photographic pursuits have taken him to India, Indonesia, Thailand, Maldives, Philippines and Malaysia. Now based in Malaysia, Matt and his family have lived in Asia for much of the past 15 years. If you are looking for a photographer for your next assignment please give Matt a call or email him.” ~ His Bio Page
My Thoughts:
I have been following his site for over a year now. His work with NGOs doing humanitarian photography is something I aspire to do myself one day and his photography is some of the best. What separates him from others I think is the photography of people he does and the video slide shows he produces. Both are always well made and worth a look. He is a major reason why I created the “Faces Series” and why I bought a Zoom to record voices and sounds. I’m hoping one day I will be able to bring the Faces Series up a level or two. It’s photographers like him that keep me motivated to try new things, not give up and always be expanding my skills.
