Photo-Essay: Hampi In Ruins (Part II)

Ruins and temples in Hampi, India

This is the second part of my series on Hampi of the ruins and temples there.  To be honest I could make about ten of these photo-essays alone, as I have so many photographs from there.  To many to show you all but these were the ones that didn’t make the first photo-essay.

If you are new to this site, check out my other photo-essays here!

Wow. Beautiful pictures. You capture the ruins of Hampi perfectly. The stonework again the blue sky looks amazing.

Great photos of Hampi! That’s actually where my boyfriend and I started to fall in love with each other and your photos have brought all our happy memories back to us! http://connvoyage.blogspot.com/2011/04/montage-monday-falling-in-love-in-india.html

Really cool stuff. Diggin the high dynamic range. Hampi is such a picturesque town – I think I took as many photos there than I did in any other city in India, save maybe Varansi. Thanks for bringing me back ever so briefly.

Would you believe non of these photos are HDR? I just edited them in a way that they look like it but aren’t. The sun was intense there during the afternoon heat, so I had to under expose most of my shots, then adjust it back up to get any contrast and sky to come in. Took me a few days to figure that out but I finally got it.

I agree! we had planned on staying there for only 3 days, but ended up being there a week. Kudlee Beach in Karnataka was our other favourite place in India too.
