Cows are everywhere here and yes they own the streets. I like to think of them as Goa Mafia.
I made it to Goa, India finally! Been here about 5 days now and met up with AlmostFearless.com. I’m staying at there place and love it, as the house is located only 10min from the beach. Goa is full of charm but one of the main things I love here so far has been the food. I been eating like a king every night on the beach for $7 USD or less. Might sound high for India but believe me it’s worth it to have the cool air hitting your face, the surf washing up at your feet while you eat and the food is to die for. I have been letting my friends just pick the dishes so far (some veggie and some meat) and all have been better then the last one I had.
I bought an Apple iTouch-4 before I left the US and one of the main reasons I did this was because of the camera. I wanted to be able to pull it out randomly and snap photos of just about anything while I travel. I did this for the first few days and was really surprised at how well the pictures came out (I edited the photos on the iTouch as well) and decided that I would post these photos weekly to give you guys, the readers, a small glimpse into what I see every week. I wanted an easy way to get something up every week while traveling and because I can do most of the work on the iTouch I thought this would work best.
So there is no theme, no standard, no rhyme or reason to these photo essays… only what I see is what you get to see.

Tuk-tuk or electric rickshaw, this is what I hope I can buy or rent to drive around India for a few weeks.

On my first day in Goa I woke up at 7am and decided to take a walk. An hour later I came across this yellow tarp and noticed the shadows of the bikes passing by on it from the rising morning sun.

I see the same thing being sold over and over again, here in Goa, and it looks like this (the clothes that is and not the guy).

"Cock and Bull" If you think that is a funny name for a restaurant then look below where it says "Cum". Seriously I have seen like 5 signs that spell it this way. They speak English well in India but not spell it.

I love the spices in India. Just walking by these stands makes me want to buy some everytime.

Flowers hang as an offering outside a covered fruit stand.

Seriously this is the same scene every 100m on the streets of Goa. I don't think anyone owns any of the cattle here and they just walk around doing whatever, whenever. Still waiting to catch two of them getting their freak on while in the street.

Jewelry displayed at the Night Market in Goa. The market is open every Saturday from 7pm-2am.

The house I am staying at in Goa. It has 3 bedrooms, all with private baths and is about a 10min walk from the beach.

Cole Gilbert, my drinking buddy in Goa. He has so far out drank me every night and has been with more ladies then me to. Everywhere we go, the local ladies want to pick him up, hold him and pass him around. It's funny to see Indians getting there picture taken with him. (note: I did a little more editing on this photo in LR3 to get it half BW and the cans in color)
