FOGG Notes: She was the first person I did a “Faces” interview with and couldn’t help myself. It’s the all too classic shot and you can find many ladies in the old city of Havana sitting around with cigars, hoping someone will take a picture of them for some money. Believe me you will pay (and I did this time, which I normally don’t pay money directly for interviews) but I just had to get this shot. My interviews for Cuba were really difficult, as people didn’t know how to answer some of the questions asked (you’ll know what I mean more later when I post others). Plus the fact that my friend was helping with the interviews and being his first time assisting me on this (which I am very grateful and couldn’t have done it without him) made for very short answers. I had gotten so used to having Lucy assisting me that I took it for granted. Plus Cubans seemed to be very hesitant on talking about themselves…as if someone was watching them and they would get into trouble. Hummm…
