Sorry for not posting anything the last few days. I have finally left Asia and am now in Ecuador, South America. The ordeal of flying for me anymore is wanted as much as a hemorrhoid check. I used to love flying when I was younger. The thought of going to an airport, the excitement of packing my suitcase and [...]
Tham (cave) Khao Luang is located at about 4 kilometers from Phetchaburi inside of Khao Luang Hill. This was my real reason for coming to Phetchaburi, after I had seen some images of this place before on the internet. Coming from the Ozarks in Missouri exploring caves is a must and the thought of being able to [...]
I know you might be getting tired of the Petchburi pictures…but live with it! (all smiles) There was just so much to shoot there and got some different stuff that I haven’t yet posted on the site before. Below are some random shots of steps and blue flower pots leading up to the museum on the hill. [...]
These pictures are from the same place, Khao Wang Hill. There was a lot to see on this hill but for me all temples start to look alike after a while. What was great about this day was that it was about to rain and had great cloud cover. This aloud me some good outdoor [...]
Monkeys from the Khao Wang Hill. They were actually pretty tame compared to other monkeys I seen at this town. Some were down-right aggressive if you didn’t give them something to eat… and chasing you is an understatement. If you have never really seen a monkey like these up close it’s kind of weird. When [...]
My last road trip in Thailand I went down to Petchburi. Located south a few hours by train or bus from Bangkok, it’s a little town with a lot of sites to see. One is Khao Wang Hill. A place set up on the hill just on the edge of town. It had great views [...]
I used to read a lot when I was working overseas. I found it a great way to pass the time when I was traveling around and waiting at airports exc. When in college all I read was business books or autobiographies but since then have changed to travel books. I’m not talking about Lonely Planet books [...]
Since living in Bangkok I haven’t been back to Khao San Road since my last trip here 2 years ago. No real reason why, other then it’s far away from the Sky Train and comprises of mostly young backpackers getting piss drunk. I n the last week though I have been there 2x, as I’m [...]
A few nights ago I went down to the river here in Bangkok to eat at a friends restaurant. I had been there one time before and the food was great and even better the view. The restaurant is called Rabeang Rimnum and is family owed and operated by a local Thai family. The view is the suspended [...]
Here are more pictures from the Bangkok Art Center. A beautiful building on the inside and worth seeing if visiting Bangkok. If living here try to stop by every few weeks for a browse. Exhibitions change all the time.
