Well I’m finally starting to post some Ecuador pictures. The picture below isn’t what your expecting I bet but I like it so much and thought why not. It was shot in Mindo, about a 3hrs north of Quito, at a resort called Mindo Largo. We didn’t stay at this resort but showed up to eat on its lake by boat. They have this floating table that sits 5-6 people and you can float around the lake while eating your meal. We seen an advertisement of it and figured it would be something different, plus they had a frog show at 6:30 pm, so we wanted to hear that as well.
When we got there we were told we needed reservations for the floating table (no one told us that) and that if we still wanted to do it we wouldn’t be able to eat until 8:00 pm. We were starving so we finally said screw it and ate at the restaurant instead and thought we might just cruise around on the table for drinks after. As usual everything “I” tried to order they didn’t have (and this was on a menu consisting of only 7 dishes TOTAL!) and so I finally just gave up and said I’d only have lemonade. So I sat and watched everyone eat their lovely meal until finally I got bored and thought I would shoot some pictures.
The picture was taken off a tripod at 141 sec exposure. Never done night shots like this before but have been wanting to get more into it. I bought aM eBook about it a while ago while in Thailand and there is some awesome stuff you can do at night that you might never have thought. Anyways, I was taking a few pictures of the cottages along the water and after getting bored with it I looked up and seen a 1/4 size moon with clouds moving fast over it. I turned up the camera towards the sky, focused on the moon and let it rip. This is what I got…
PS: Sorry I haven’t been posting as much…been having some internet issues in Ecuador. Which means they have internet but you never know when it will work.
